DJI Mavic 3 Cine: the new drone arrives with a dual camera

The end of the year has turned out to be quite busy for DJI. The well-known Chinese manufacturer seems to have put its main releases to the end and if in recent days we have known the new DJI Ronin 4D cinematographic system and the new DJI Action 2 action camera, it seems that the next thing will be its new drone. Yes, a new version of one of its most popular models is due to come out shortly, but while it officially arrives: this is all that is known about the DJI Mavic 3 Cine.

DJI Mavic 3 Cinema Uncovered

DJI Mavic 3 CineOver the past few weeks, but especially over the past few days, rumors about a new DJI drone have been intensifying. Media specialized in this type of product have been releasing small leaks of what could be its new features and even changes at the design level.

Well, now many of these data could be confirmed with total security after the latest leaks that reveal the design and the camera that will include, among other novelties, the new DJI Mavic 3 Cine . So let’s do a point-by-point review, especially DJI’s new drone camera.

A familiar design, but always improved

The design of DJI drones is evolving as they launch new versions, but for some years now they have maintained that idea of a folding drone that they liked so much since their first proposal. Because, among some other advantages, the best thing about it is that they are much more comfortable to transport.

For the rest, in essence it is very similar to previous models, although logically there are changes that seem to be more focused on the relocation of the new internal hardware with which it will arrive and also new batteries that would give the device a longer flight time.

Of course, the most striking thing would be the camera that DJI would integrate here. Because not only is it somewhat larger in terms of dimensions compared to the Mavic 2, it is also somewhat different by including two sensors instead of one.

The first dual camera drone

The DJI Mavic 3 Cine looks like it will be the brand’s first drone with a dual camera system . Yes, something similar to what we are used to seeing on mobile devices. And it is that DJI would introduce in the camera module a set with two sensors and two different lenses.

According to rumors, the camera scheme would be as follows. In the first place we would have a wide-angle camera that would be the main one and signed by Hasselblad that would have a larger sensor to give a higher quality to the capture of still and moving images. On the other hand, we would have a second camera with a telephoto lens.

I mean, it would be like merging the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom into a single drone. Of course, it seems that here too there would be some difference between the models that could be sold. Because there would be a model that would bet more on those cinema capacities and would come with improvements such as greater storage capacity (it would go from 8 GB of internal memory to 1 TB) and the possibility of recording video in ProRes format (hence the terabyte of capacity) .

New remote control and accessories

Finally, the new DJI Mavic 3 Cine would arrive with a control knob similar to the ones we have already seen. There would be some physical modification and most importantly: new connectors. And it seems that it will include USB C and HDMI mini connector at the bottom.

These two connectors and their position seem like they would make a lot of sense for use with first person goggles like the DJI FPV and its goggles. Of course, it is sure that it could also be used for other types of uses, especially if with that Cinema they want the drone to be used in other fields where until now the DJI Inspire 2 was the main protagonist.

DJI Mavic 3 Cine, features

With all this, a review of the list of features that have been leaked and we could already consider it safe. Although, as always, until DJI posts them on their official website, we will always treat them as rumors and leaks.

DJI Mavic 3 Technical Specifications :
