Because a black frame will always be much better since it allows you to focus more on the screen, on what you are doing.

Moreover, removing the detail of the chin, if we place them next to a new iMac we see that it would not have been a bad idea at all. On the contrary, it is a black frame that many think is what they really lacked in design matters.
