With the arrival of Apple Arcade both the iPad and the iPhone are gaining a lot of weight in the world of video games, but the gameplay is unfortunately not the most correct because it does not have a keyboard, a mouse or a remote control. This is why Apple has wanted to make the PS4 controller compatible with the iPad and the iPhone with the aim of playing more comfortable as if it were a console.
How to connect the Play controller to the iPad, iPhone or Apple TV
Many of the games we find in Apple Arcade are already compatible with third-party controllers such as Play, Xbox or other certified brands. This is ideal for racing or adventure games as we can have a better experience with this improved control. We believe that this is one of the best decisions Apple has made and we hope that in the future there will be better games that can be controlled with the controls.
First, we cannot arrive and look for the command by entering Settings> Bluetooth since it does not work as a normal accessory, but we must activate the pairing mode as we will explain below.
Specifically to connect the PS4 controls to our iPad or iPhone we must follow the following steps:
- Take the PS4 controller and hold the PS button and the Share button for about 5-10 seconds
- The remote will turn off and the light on the front will start to flash. This will mean that it enters pairing mode.
- Now we can go on our iPad or iPhone to Settings> Bluetooth to finish pairing it.
Once we have done this, we can play all the compatible games of Apple Arcade or the App Store with our controls. It is clear that playing with cel iPad if you have a model with a very large screen is not too comfortable since you will have to keep it caught supporting its weight.
