Today’s mid-range phones offer us features that until recently we would have associated with more expensive mobiles. And today we have two good examples, of two very similar phones in many characteristics, even in their price. These are the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G and Realme X50 5G , two phones at a better price than ever.
We are talking about two of the most affordable 5G mobiles currently on the market. Something that in itself should be a good reason to get them. But in this case we want to compare each of their characteristics to get a better idea of what they offer us.
Screen and dimensions
We are facing two terminals with a screen of similar dimensions, 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with Full HD + resolution and a hole in the screen in the Samsung.
While the Realme offers a 6.57-inch, and Full HD + resolution with a double pill-shaped hole. The dimensions of the former are 158.8 x 73.4 x 8.6mm and it weighs 188 grams, while the realme is larger, with dimensions of 163.8 x 75.8 x 8.9mm and heavier at 194 grams, despite having a smaller battery.
performance
Here there is a lot of similarity between the two, since both have the Snapdragon 765G processor , one of the most powerful of this 2020, the fastest in the mid-range. The two models we look at also have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is only expandable on the Samsung with microSD cards.
Camera
Another section with enough equality is that of the rear camera, quadruple in both . Both also have a 48 megapixel main sensor. In the Samsung accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle, 5-megapixel macro and 5-megapixel depth.
Samsung Galaxy A51
The Realme counts as secondary with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle, 2 megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth. In front, the Samsung has a 32-megapixel camera and the Realme two cameras , one 16-megapixel and the other 2-megapixel deep.
Software battery and connectivity
IN this section there is quite a bit of equality, with 4500mAh in the Samsung and 15W fast charging. Similar capacity in the Realme with 4200mA h, although a much faster fast charge of 3oW , which charges 70% in 30 minutes. Both have Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC to make mobile payments in establishments.
An important difference between the two is that the Samsung has a fingerprint reader on the screen, while the Realme on the side power button. Both have Android 10 as the operating system, with One UI u and Realme UI respectively.
Price and conclusion
We are facing two mobiles that now have a very attractive price, below 300 euros, so having 5G they are the best choices we can make today. The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is priced at 299 euros , and the Realme X50 5G at 279 euros , a very tight difference. And of course we are looking at two very similar phones, but with such an even price we chose the Samsung, and we do it for several reasons.
It has an AMOLED screen, a fingerprint reader under the screen, and a somewhat larger battery . Enough reasons to pay 20 euros more for the same processor, RAM and storage as in this case. Even so, the Realme is an excellent purchase, especially for its double front camera, which expands the possibilities when it comes to taking selfies. Undoubtedly, they are two phones that are well worth paying at this price, but overall, it is clear that the Samsung offers a more premium profile.
