We cannot say that mobile manufacturers ignore users and potential consumers. Because if we demanded something from them, they were mobiles with large batteries and a lot of autonomy. Today we compare two phones that are the best example of this philosophy, the Motorola Moto G9 Power and the Samsung Galaxy M21 , both with 6000mAh batteries.
Until two or three years ago, carrying a 3000mAh battery in the mobile was the most normal thing, but in this time we have seen a great improvement in this field, with batteries that double the capacity and are not especially thicker.
Screen and dimensions
These phones offer us very good screens, although in this case the Motorola undoubtedly wins by size, with 6.8 inches, HD + resolution and a hole in the screen for the front camera. For its part, the Samsung offers us a smaller screen, 6.4 inches, but it is Super AMOLED and has a Full HD + resolution.
By dimensions the Motorola is much larger, with 172.1 x 76.8 x 9.7 mm and is very heavy with 221 grams. For its part, the Samsung is much more compact, with 159 x 75.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 188 grams, lighter.
performance
In this case we have different processors, with a Snapdragon 662 manufactured in 11nm that is somewhat less powerful than Samsung’s Exynos 9611 , manufactured in 10nm.
Therefore the Samsung has a little more power. They are accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in the case of the Moto, and 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in the Samsung, in both cases expandable via microSD cards.
Camera
In both cases there are triple cameras , with a 64-megapixel main sensor in the Moto, accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel depth one.
In the case of Samsung we have a 48-megapixel main sensor , accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. In front of the Moto camera is 16 megapixels, and in the case of the Galaxy M21 20 megapixels.
Battery and connectivity
These phones certainly stand out for their battery, which is huge in both cases. Both are 6000 mAh , the largest on the market, although the Moto one charges a bit faster, with 20W , while the Samsung has 15W fast charge.
Both have the fingerprint reader located behind, as well as a USB type C or Bluetooth 5.0 connector. A point in favor of Motorola is that it has NFC , so it can be used to pay in establishments. Both have a minijack connector for headphones. Both also have Android 10, based on Motorola’s almost pure layer and One UI 2.0, although the Samsung is about to receive 2.5.
Price and conclusion
We are facing a Motorola Moto G9 Power that has just hit the market, in fact it is currently in reserve for 19 euros, and when this period passes its price will be 229 euros . The latter the same price as the Samsung Galaxy M21. Therefore, leaving reservations aside, the two phones cost the same. The Motorola highlights its larger screen , double storage, a higher resolution main camera, NFC and faster fast charging.
For its part, Samsung stands out for the Super AMOLED screen with higher resolution and the most powerful processor. Therefore, although the two phones seem like an excellent purchase for 229 euros, the Motorola offers us more for the same money. Of course, we must bear in mind that the screen and the best performance of Samsung can also make a difference, not in vain we talk about the most important aspects in a mobile.
