Comparison between Realme 7 and Realme 6

Among all the mobiles that we can buy, a brand has broken into the market with great force, we refer to Realme that has shown us that it can do things very well. Among its options we find the Realme 6 and the Realme 7 , two smartphones that change generation.

To help you decide between buying one or the other, we are going to show you what are the most notable differences between both models. The presentation between the two models has barely been 6 months apart and that means that the changes are not greater, but there are some relevant ones.

Design and displays

The first thing we look at is the aesthetic section where both have great similarities and although it may seem that the materials are different, they both opt for plastic. The front camera remains the same and only the rear camera module changes slightly. Regarding the weight, the similarities are still very present, since we have 196 and 192 grams respectively. Even the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection against scratches remains the same.

We move on to another important aspect, in this case the screen remains totally identical with 6.5 inches, Full HD + resolution and a density of 405 pixels. Nor do we find changes in the refresh rate offered in the two models up to 90 Hz and a touch response rate of 120 Hz.

A slightly improved processor

A section where if we begin to see changes is in the brain, because the Realme 7 becomes faster thanks to the MediaTek Helio G95, although very little above the MediaTek Helio G90T that includes the Realme 6. Its frequency is very similar and the GPU it remains in Arm Mali-G76 with the good results obtained.

As for memory, we enter with the same UFS 2.1 storage technology and LPDDR 4X RAM with options. In the Realme 7 we have 4, 6 or 8 GB of RAM along with 64 or 128 GB, while the Realme 6 has 4 GB of RAM with 64 or 128 GB and a last one of 8 + 128 GB. In both cases with the possibility of expanding it through MicroSD.

Cameras for all tastes

In the cameras section, the generation jump has not been any setback, since we already had a great team in the Realme 6, where the main sensor is 64 Mpx signed by Samsung and now we have a 48 Mpx with large details that means a small step back . The 8MP wide angle remains the same, as well as the macro lens and 2MP black and white sensor.

Realme 6

The selfie camera goes from having 16 Mpx signed by Samsung to belonging to Sony, although the result of the front camera will be practically the same. Video recording has meant more things, because although we have 4K recording in both and electronic image stabilization, in the Realme 7 the stabilization has been improved to make the videos more fluid.

Battery and connectivity

If we look at the skin that make up the Realme 7, it will have greater autonomy thanks to the fact that it has grown considerably and now integrates 5,000 mAh that leave behind the 4,300 mAh of the Realme 6. As for fast charging, everything remains the same, with 30W that will allow charge it in just 1 hour.

In connectivity we have in both cases with NFC and audio jack, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 LE and the possibility of using a dual SIM in both models. This leaves us the same benefits in this regard.

Realme UI in both cases

Moving on to the customization layer we find Realme UI, a layer that does not stop improving and adding important changes. With the next update that includes Realme UI 2.0 the two models will get improvements in customization. First the update for the Realme 7 will arrive and later the Realme 6, but with the same advantages. They currently have Android 10, but at the same time they receive Realme UI 2.0 they will also have Android 11.

Prices and purchase recommendation

Just before buying one or the other, we must put their prices and the differences we have seen in context. On the one hand, the Realme 7 with 4 and 64 GB of RAM can be found for 179 euros and the Realme 6 with the same configuration is at 193 euros. A more expensive price in the previous generation , but nevertheless when we look at the version with 128 GB it only varies by 3 euros.

Although this can be confusing to us, it has its explanation in that the manufacturing cost has been lower since we have already practically done everything and have slightly reduced the main camera. The doubts about buying one or the other are clear, but in our case we would choose to buy the Realme 7 since the battery has undergone a big change and we will have a mobile with updates for at least half a year more for a little less money.
