Among the best of the best of 2020 we find the options of OPPO and Samsung, two brands that this year have had a great presence and in part this has been thanks to two of their best exponents. In both cases we have very current designs, with a front that focuses on taking advantage of all the space on the screen, also using the curve in both cases but without being too pronounced. On the one hand, the OPPO Find X2 Pro integrates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and the Exynos 990 for the Samsung model. Two brains with great results in all aspects and donate power for the tests obtained, we have to give the winner to OPPO , thanks to the fact that in AnTuTu and in other tests it receives a higher score.
The options in both cases are very varied, although we find more options to choose from in Samsung , because it offers us options with 4G and 5G. We have for the Galaxy S20 + the possibility of buying it with 8 + 128 GB, also with 12 + 128 GB and even 12 + 512 GB in all of them with the option to expand it via SD.
The OPPO model is not far behind and allows us 12GB of RAM + 256GB of memory or 12 + 512GB, without an SD option in this case. The technology used by both is the best , with UFS 3.0 storage and LPDDR5 RAM.
Cameras for all tastes
In this section we have a variety of possibilities, although the differences are also shown as important. OPPO’s main lens reaches 48 Mpx and surpasses Samsung’s, which is 12 Mpx. In the tests the result is different especially in detail, but the behavior is phenomenal in both cases. The wide angle repeats the same thing, with 48 Mpx in OPPO and 12 Mpx in Samsung the details and results vary slightly, but there are variations.
As for the zoom, things change, because Samsung with the S20 + model offers us 64 Mpx and OPPO is enough of 13 Mpx. And finally Samsung does not forget the ToF 3D sensor to achieve the best possible crop and focus. Ahead, the selfies cameras are 32 Mpx in OPPO and 10 Mpx in Samsung, with a result that we can expect, high detail in both, good behavior in difficult situations and a minimal difference before two of the best selfies of the year.
Battery and connectivity
As we have already mentioned before, the two models are 5G , although Samsung offers us the option of also opting for only 4G. Samsung’s model is Dual SIM and OPPO’s, a single SIM card is enough. The technology is Bluetooth 5 in both low consumption and there is no lack of GPS, Glonass and Beidou along with NFC for mobile payments.
The batteries leave us as results a Samsung mobile with more autonomy , but OPPO with faster charging. Samsung’s 4500 mAh speaks volumes about it, compared to OPPO’s 4260 mAh. The fast charge of OPPO reaches 65W and Samsung is enough of 25W. But only Samsung offers reverse charging and wireless charging.
ColorOS vs One UI
The two models are already being updated with the latest version of Android, thus becoming all benchmarks in Spain. Along with them come Color OS 11 and One UI 3.0, two layers with a lot to offer us. The one from OPPO something more linked to Android stock and One UI with its own style where there is no lack of customization in its options. In both cases we are before two great software.
Prices and purchase recommendation
The final moment has come to look at prices, where the cheapest is Samsung’s 5G option with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory, reaching a price of 790 euros . On the other hand, the OPPO Find X2 Pro in the 12 + 512 GB option can be found for 899 euros , leaving a difference of about 100 euros.
Taking into account everything we have seen of them, the price corresponds to those they offer, those 100 euros are the key to having a slightly higher processor, somewhat more capable cameras and different technologies in general. Although, buying the Galaxy S20 + is a success and those small differences should not be key to buying one or the other, but the price can be. In both cases we will win with the best of this year 2020.
