One way to customize the desktop background even if we do not have the system activated is from an image that we have stored on our hard drive. To do this, all we have to do is:
- We open the system file explorer.
- We navigate to the path where we have the image we want to use as a wallpaper.
- Select the file and click on it with the right mouse button.
- We chose the option Set as desktop background .
- Automatically the image will be set as a desktop background in Windows 10 even if it is not activated.
Change the desktop background from Internet Explorer
It is also possible to establish as a desktop background an image that we look for on the Internet, yes, for this we will have to use the Internet Explorer 11 browser. It is not possible to do the same with Microsoft Edge or Edge Chromium.
Therefore, the first thing we have to do is open an Internet Explorer window. Although with the arrival of Windows 10 the default browser is Edge, the truth is that Internet Explorer is still installed on the system even if it is not visible. All we have to do is type the name of the browser into the search box on the taskbar and select the browser from the search results.
Next, we navigate until we find the image that we want to set as wallpaper and without having to download it, we click on it with the right mouse button in the browser itself and choose the Set as background option .
