In the case of Xiaomi phones with MIUI, we can adjust the time that the system notifications last , since not all users require that they remain on the screen in the same way. The option is somewhat hidden in the system settings, but we have a quick way to find it.

Since the update of the Xiaomi terminals to MIUI 1 and MIUI 12, system notifications remain on the screen for too long, or too little time, depending on the taste of each user. In addition, these notifications seem in the middle of the screen and can be annoying depending on what circumstances.
Change the time of the warnings
These notifications appear at the bottom of the screen and refer to certain system actions, recommendations or alerts. They do not appear with the same frequency as notifications related to messaging applications or social networks, but this does not prevent them from being even more annoying. Either because they are too fast and you don’t have time to read them or the opposite , we will see how to modify the time they appear on the screen. These notices are related to Accessibility since it seeks to ensure that any user can read the messages that the system needs to send us, referring to processes that we have carried out, completed, various notices.
To modify this parameter, we will have to enter the Settings and write “Time” in the search box, since it is the fastest method to find this setting. Then we enter the last option and enter the “Action time” section. Now we can modify the time, with options of 10 or 30 seconds or 1 or 2 minutes of time. Once done, we can return to the main menu since the settings will be saved until we change them.
Keep in mind that this setting will only affect system notifications, so it will have no effect on the applications that we have installed on the system. However, if the problem is related to other types of applications, we can always eliminate those notifications that we consider most annoying , since not all notifications are equally important.
