How to Change the Screen Functions of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5

The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 that we have received in Spain is not that it has great improvements (beyond the PAI system) compared to its predecessor but we must admit that the screen, both at the software and hardware level, is where we find the most change compared to what the Mi Band 4 offered. Among its novelties we find the possibility of changing the elements of the screen .

The AMOLED screen of this Mi Band 5 is slightly larger than that of the Mi Band 4. It measures 1.1 inches compared to the 0.95-inch screen of the Mi Band 4 which, although it does not make a big difference, it does allow to alter the elements visible in the interface. The screen now has smaller bezels and a larger area to display more information in a 126 x 294 pixel resolution that supports 100% of the P3 color gamut. It also features a 2.5D tempered glass panel that protects the screen from scratches and abrasions.

How do I change the information that the bracelet displays on the screen? In the simplest way possible.

Configuring the screen of the Mi Band 5

When you wear the bracelet, by default on the screen you will see information about the time and date, the battery level and the count of steps you have taken during the day, but this does not mean that it should always be this way. The bracelet offers you the option to keep the time but change the count of steps taken by other indications such as: heart rate, calories expended per day, steps per hour, heart rate in real time, scheduled events, new forms of counting steps or PAI data

To alter this display you should not resort to My Fit , as might be thought at first, but rather, you must access the Settings from the bracelet by sliding your finger down or up until you reach the “More” section. Once inside, scroll to the bottom again and select the “Screen” option.

Here you can alter the screen elements by clicking on the gear-shaped icon that appears just below the information on the screen. By clicking on it, we access the display configuration panel.

As you will see, the bottom box turns blue and, by clicking on it, we will alternate between the different elements that the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 screen can show. When you have chosen the one you want, you simply have to press and hold your finger on the panel for a few seconds and that’s it.
