As we move forward in Pokémon GO, it becomes increasingly difficult to capture a pet that we no longer own in our extensive collection. However, developers plot a route to get certain creatures that don’t appear so easily, no matter how far we travel. That being the case, we are going to show how to get Jirachi in the game, a Pokémon that doesn’t show as much as it should.
We will achieve this through Special Investigations, missions that Pokémon GO has already launched at the time to encourage what has been said in a few lines above, to encourage the search for new creatures. Creatures that Niantic’s own people add in every game update. There are many to capture, but this time we are going to treat this Wish Pokémon.
Preparations to consider
It is not that we can capture this Pokémon immediately, before we have to have met certain requirements to choose to find it. It is not a simple field investigation, so if we are a beginner or a player with few resources, it will be better to wait to be more prepared at another time. 
More than requirements, they are recommendations that we make to face these missions in the best possible way. We should meet a player profile with level 25 -more or less-, or have a generous number of Pokémon registered in the Pokédex, in addition to having enough resources such as berries and special Pokéballs.
Now yes, you can capture Jirachi
Everything would be ready to start the mission, or maybe not. Depending on the Pokémon we want to choose, it will be necessary or not, to obtain some other special creature to be able to unlock the one we want to capture. In this case with Jirachi, you will not have to get specific Pokemon, but you must meet a minimum to unlock it.
In the investigation ‘A singular discovery’, we will have to reach phase 3 of that mission, that is, reach level 15, fight in a gym 2 times and participate in 2 raids. This will give us, apart from rewards, the experience necessary to capture Jirachi. This Special Investigation, called ‘An ancient lethargy’, will consist of 7 phases until you can face this legendary Pokémon and catch it.
Phase 1
Once the mission has started, the first thing we have to do is capture 25 creatures, regardless of their type or level. Next, we place ourselves in a Poképarada or in a Gym, and we give a turn to 10 photodiscs, which will provoke us to face a Jigglypuff, which must be captured.
Lastly, we added 3 new friends to our list, which will give us the opportunity to meet Feebas and catch him. The reward for achieving this will be a Mossy Bait Module, Glacial Bait Module and Magnetic Bait Module.
Phase 2
First of all, you have to capture 3 Whismur, who will give us 10 candies. Secondly, we evolve a Feebas, and lastly, earn Hoenn’s golden badge. This will reward us with 2000 Stardust, 10 Pokébalss and 3 Incenses.
Phase 3
We will take a photograph with Loudred in the place that we want, since Snorlax will appear right there to capture him. Then, we make 3 great launches in a row, to end up winning 3 candies walking calmly with our partner. The rewards for this phase are 20 Silver Pinia Berries, 3 Star Bits, and 2000 Stardust.
Phase 4
Without giving up yet, despite the complexity of the mission, we captured 50 Pokémon of Psychic Type or Steel Type, the easiest to find. Then, to any pet, we will give 10 times more power, and finally we send 10 gifts to friends we want. For completing this phase, the game gives us 1 MT of fast attack, a Premium Raid Pass and 1 MT of charged attack.
Phase 5
At this stage of the mission, we fight 1 team leader 3 times in a row, allowing us to face Kricketune. The second step is to win a coach up to 7 times, and finally, win in 5 raids. The rewards will be 3 rare candies, 20 Ultraballs, and 3,000 star powders.
Phase 6
We are on the verge of achieving the objective, so it will be worth it to overcome this phase. In this way, we take 5 snapshots of a Steel Type or Psychic Type Pokémon, which gives us an encounter with Chimecho and capture it with total security. 
Then, we must hit 3 curved ball pitches, also excellently to face a Bronzong. The final step is to spin a PokéStop for 7 days in a row. This will give us some rewards such as 10 Silver Pinia berries, 10 star pieces and 5000 stardust.
Phase 7: Doors open to capture a Jirachi
We have invested time to complete the previous 6 phases, we would even say that we have sweated to reach this precise moment of capturing a Pokémon as unusual as Jirachi. Once arrived at this moment, it only remains for us to appear automatically just after the sixth phase, since at this stage we do not have to do anything else, only that would be missing. 
We select in “Obtain rewards”, which will be 20 Jirachi candies and a Jirachi t-shirt. The last gift, how could it be otherwise, will be the appearance of the desired creature. However, we can only catch it with a normal Poké-Ball, but calm, it is a totally symbolic encounter, its capture is guaranteed on the third attempt.
