Types of cards
There are three main types of cards right now that differ in size and thickness.

Types of capabilities
The letter codes that you see in the microSD is the way to represent the storage capacity.
- SDSC – This stands for Stardard Capacity and they have storage up to 2GB.
- SDHC : this type of High Capacity cards have a maximum storage of 32 GB.
- SDXC : are those with the capacity to store up to 2 TB (Extended Capacity).
Card classes
MicroSD cards also differ in the write speed they are capable of achieving.
- Class 2 : minimum speed is 2MB / s.
- Class 4 : Its minimum write speed is 4MB / s and it accepts 720p videos.
- Class 6 : have a minimum write speed of 6MB / s.
- Class 10 : are those that have a minimum write speed of 10 MB / s and that can be used for 1080p video.
- UHS Speed Class 1 (U1) : its minimum speed is 10 MB / s, but by having a better bus we can have longer 1080p videos.
- UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) : 30MB / s minimum speed ideal for recording 4K video.
To place in a mobile or tablet, our advice is that the card you use is at least class 10, since today’s devices are almost all very powerful.
