That 2020 is one of the most unusual years in recent history is not something we are going to discover now. As far as Apple is concerned, we can see it clearly with the number of online events it has held and with launch dates changed compared to its usual calendar. Now that Californians looked like they were closing the year when it came to products, a report has come out suggesting we could see a launch next week. AirPods, AirTags and Apple TV await in the bedroom. We analyze it.
What indicates that we will see a launch?
From MacRumors they have echoed an internal report directed to the Apple Store suggesting changes in the AppleCare service, something that only happens when new devices are launched. In fact, it is said that this document is identical to the one that the company released for the iPhone 12 in October. Is it a clear indication that we are going to see a product? Definitely. The company does not issue this type of information to its workers until a few days until the launch of new hardware and taking into account that we are almost into Christmas, next week could be the one chosen by the firm led by Tim Cook.

From this same medium they have also recalled an information released by the leaker L0vetodream about a month ago, and it is that it claimed that Apple was preparing a “Christmas surprise”. At that time, no one knew if he was referring to products, services or simply a special video for these dates. With this new information it is now possible to connect the loose ends and understand that he was probably referring to this.
What could Apple launch?
Considering what has been seen, nothing is ruled out by the company, but being realistic it is not expected to be a launch of several products. What’s more, it will be done through a press release instead of an online event, something that the company should have already communicated in advance. This immediately rules out that it will be a particularly relevant product. If we stick to what the rumors indicate that it has been in the bedroom, we find the following products:
- MacBook Pro 16 – The company could renew this 16-inch device as already suggested several weeks ago. Of course, they would have tenth generation Intel chips except for a capital surprise and that include M1 chips.
- AirTags: these are keychain-sized locators similar to the well-known Tile accessories, which would be managed from the Search app and which would be interconnected with other Apple devices via ultra-broadband. Apple is said to have even recorded its presentation and was ruled out of the three events held this fall.
- AirPods Studio: reversible headphones with high quality sound quality aimed at the most demanding public, giving even more possibilities than the current AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro.
- Apple TV: there has been talk all year about a processor renewal for these teams incorporating more power to make the most of the Apple Arcade service. It could also incorporate a new control knob.

Other products such as the iMac or the third generation AirPods still seem distant. Sources close to the production chain of these have already recently stated that they are not ready yet. While any of the three featured products could be interesting to see at an event, in the end it must be taken into account that they do not have a really prominent weight to celebrate a unique event for them. Not having integrated them into the previous ones would probably respond to a deadline problem and not having enough stock. In any case, it cannot be ruled out that the company could launch a special video telling its characteristics.
Be that as it may, we will be extremely attentive to all the information that is arriving these days and, of course, to the official information from Apple. There is less left to solve doubts and check if any of the mentioned products ends up becoming a reality or if, on the contrary, the company has a surprise that no one has been able to reveal previously.
