How Much Do Apple AirPods Cost: the Prices of Each Model

Apple‘s AirPods Pro quickly made it onto the list of the best fully wireless headphones on the market, but they also forgot the multiple criticisms that the Cupertino firm received with the launch of the AirPods 2 and its wireless charging case. Do you want to know how each one differs and how much Apple AirPods cost? Waiting for a third generation of these devices to arrive, in this guide you will find the answers you are looking for.

Apple AirPods Cost: the Prices of Each Model

First, a little context

Original AirPods with charging case are the most basic wireless experience Apple has to offer. Although they look the same as high-end AirPods 2 with a wireless charging case, they are very different inside: they are equipped with an older chipset that offers two hours of talk time (one hour less than AirPods 2) and does not are compatible with Siri.

Also, the included charging case is not wireless like that of the AirPods 2. This means its power reserve is replenished via a basic Lightning cable – there is no option to leave it on a Qi- compatible charging cradle. Other notable improvements to the AirPods 2 are a faster, smoother connection and better noise reduction.

The most advanced, the AirPods Pro, have a smaller and more discreet design, noise cancellation and sweat resistance. They also offer better sound quality than AirPods and AirPods 2 and come with a shorter, wider wireless charging case. The rest is very similar to that of the AirPods 2: both support the Siri assistant and offer similar autonomy.

Prices

So how much does each one cost? AirPods with charging case retail for $ 159, AirPods 2 with wireless charging case cost $ 199, and brand-new AirPods Pro $ 249. Don’t rule out finding the first and intermediate ones at a considerable discount (between $ 10 and $ 50, on average), though.
