According to researchers at the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, a mechanism is being developed capable of intuiting people’s behaviors, even when they are interacting with animals or interacting with objects. Artificial Intelligence would be the key technology that would be used to develop this mechanism.
This would be of great help to machines that could better deduce our movements and coordinate better. This technology could be used for example for self-driving vehicles or for assistive devices.
Advantages of using an AI
This machine that uses Artificial Intelligence has been subjected to hundreds of tests visualizing different situations in the world of sports or even in movies and series and it is the most perfected way today to be able to believe what will happen in the future according to the actions that one is taking at that moment.
So far, it is not possible to predict more than one stock at the same time. As for daily actions, the algorithm easily detects what is going to happen but in more complicated moments it is unable to foresee what is going to happen. To try to perfect this technology, knowledge of geometry has been applied.
The fundamental difference between a human being and a machine when it comes to predicting behavior is that we have great latitude when it comes to reasoning, something that machines lack. They are working with new data series and with computers of greater size and power to try to optimize the operation.
There are still several tests
A system is also being developed that allows the machines that display certain activities to be categorized in order to facilitate their operation in the future by displaying certain actions.
The system would allow the machines to react correctly to different situations and not take actions that are already planned . If the machines understand human behavior, they will give us help and support whenever we need it.
All the tests that have been carried out with this Artificial Intelligence system have been successful, but the next step is to carry out these checks outside the research laboratory. In the event that these tests abroad were a success , the serious proposal to implement this technology in public spaces that guarantee reliability could be put on the table.
