The world before the MCU

With the permission of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight franchise , it may be the most beloved superhero trilogy in the history of the genre, thanks to its combination of serious themes with a very comical aesthetic . The combination of these two factors was thanks to the sublime direction of the legendary Sam Raimi . His first installment managed to give us a Peter Parker and a Green Goblin, played by Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe respectively who, for many, are still the definitive versions of these characters. Remembered was its first trailer, which had to be removed after the 9/11 attacks in New York.
And then came its second part, Spider-Man 2 , considered today as the best film based on Spider-Man, accompanied by a commercial and critical success that continues to be impressive today. All of the above said with the permission of Tom Holland, of course.
