The 5 big changes that will come to your Huawei with EMUI 13

If we look closely, the user interface of Huawei EMUI 12 is very similar to HarmonyOS 2.0, which makes us think that the next EMUI 13, which is not yet official, will be a copy of HarmonyOS 3.0 that arrives in Europe. This operating system has been presented a few months ago to give the company’s mobiles a user experience that makes its users not miss Google.

Waiting for the arrival of EMUI 13 for the global market of Huawei smartphones, we are asked what is new behind HarmonyOS 3.0 and if it will finally bring similar features or innovate in its Huawei devices.

The 5 big changes that will come to your Huawei with EMUI 13

Although EMUI 13 as such is not official, this is what we expect from HarmonyOS 3.0 when the brand’s new operating system arrives in Europe . We do not know if all the functions will arrive, but we comment on the 5 changes that we hope will come to Huawei with EMUI 13 and that you will be able to see on your Huawei mobile when you receive the update.

These are the 5 expected changes

Devices eligible to receive the new system update may find themselves with exciting changes like the ones mentioned below.

Power consumption performance

While improving the gaming experience with more realistic scenes and optimized game environments, among other new features, expect system and power consumption to improve with the following feature:

  • Superframe game engine

New interaction

Several functions change in the interaction of your device, in widgets, folders and other sections , even the Celia assistant improves its possibilities:

  • Service widgets, free switch
  • Stackable widgets
  • Combinable widgets
  • smart folders
  • home screen space
  • Updated Celia Assistant Tips

Smart life in all scenarios

To reach more smart devices, it will enable greater control and interoperability between them:

  • More experience in Super Device
  • More convenient streaming with Streaming Control Center

Privacy & Security

The system is more secure and receives improvements in certain sections for greater control of your privacy and security:

  • privacy center
  • Security Center

Barrier-free experience

To facilitate the use of mobile phones for all users, more barriers have been removed, incorporating the following functions for people with visual and/or hearing disabilities :

  • Visual support
  • Headset

Other things we would like in EMUI

Beyond what we expect to arrive taking into account the changes that Harmony OS brings, there are also some quite interesting functions that we would like to see in EMUI 13 when it reaches our Huawei mobiles, and they are these:

  • Dark mode scheduling feature. The dark mode theme allows you to see the entire user interface in this color making it easier to work in low light. Scheduling dark mode would be a much-needed feature beyond its recent improvements.
  • New Big Folder Sizes . The current layout is 3 x 3 (rows and columns), although there are more layout options we’d like to see.
  • Application fragment function . This makes it easy to navigate through the key functions of an app. Each will offer a variety of relevant possibilities.
