This year comes packed with new foldable Android devices from different manufacturers. All of them aim to not only gain a foothold in the market, but also to succeed, and given what we know so far that could be the case. It is not expected that Apple will take the step of introducing a new foldable iPhone this year, although it has been rumored for a while.
Until now, the folding ones have not been the best known or the most desired on the market, we do not know if because of their price or because of their differentiated format from other devices. The truth is that until now there have not been many smartphones of this type on the market.
But this year there will be, and many many that we can imagine. It will be necessary to see what is its reception in the market and which are the ones that really succeed without any doubt.
Folding phones that promise to succeed
Samsung‘s folding phones will have a lot of competition this year because the different brands have put their batteries together and will present very interesting folding phones. First of all, the Motorola Razr 2022 has arrived and then the new OPPO Find N2 Flip will probably arrive. This device comes with an improved solution of one of the most popular foldables on the market, with a new, larger screen format and a more functional vertical panel.
OPPO’s new foldable is perfect for doing everything you need on a day-to-day basis, seeing up to 6 notifications at a time and previewing snapshots you’ve taken with your camera. Its processor will be MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ and it will have a battery for the whole day with its 4300mAh. But without a doubt one of its great innovations is its folding system. It comes with the OPPO Find N2, with new features and improved functions.
Meanwhile, interesting new releases are already expected, such as the new Google Pixel Fold that will be presented in October, and OnePlus has announced another model for the third quarter of the year. The new OnePlus Flip could be similar to the new OPPO foldable, although we do not know many more details about it for now beyond its upcoming arrival this year. For its part, the Google Pixel Fold would have a 7.6-inch folding OLED screen, with a smaller secondary panel and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Samsung will return with new devices this summer, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. These models from the brand, already specialized in the manufacture of this type of device, will not disappoint. It is expected that they will arrive with new interesting improvements, in addition to great performance thanks to its processor and 12 GB of memory. One is shell type and the other book type, designed for all tastes and needs. The new Fold will come with an innovative hinge that does not show the fold, among many other new features that we will love.
Many of these models have not been officially confirmed by the brands and they have not talked about their specifications or given information about them, so we will have to wait for them to do so to find out if any relevant news awaits us that will change everything and give us surprise without a doubt.
