It is rare the mobile that is not protected by fingerprint, pattern, pin or password. This barrier to entry to our privacy is something that most smartphone users have in mind. Likewise, many users, such as those from Huawei, also decide to block certain applications , which is one more stumbling block for those snoopers who want to enter our WhatsApp, email or other apps.
Sometimes, it is possible that we leave the mobile to a person, so we will deliver it unlocked. However, we can rest assured that you will not enter our photo gallery or view our messages if we have previously blocked these applications. It is one of the most useful EMUI security features and available on all Huawei phones.
Re-enter the apps
However, in many cases the user can forget the password of the application blocking , which complicates access. Fortunately, there are several solutions that we can put in place to re-enter them. Sometimes we can regain access in seconds, but other times it will require us to uninstall the application or even return to the initial system settings.
Use the fingerprint
If we have configured our fingerprint, we can use it to access a blocked application and thus restore the forgotten password. Then we can go to Settings / Applications / Application lock and “Change password” to enter a new password.
Use “I forgot the password”
We can also use the option “I forgot my password” to reset the password to access the applications . To do so, once we access the blocked app we will click on that option in the password entry box. Now we will have to answer the security question that we previously configured and we will be able to reset the password.
Uninstall the app
If the previous option is not available, we will have to uninstall and reinstall the application. The saved data of that app will be lost, but it is the most effective solution to solve the problem. To do this we will have to press the icon of the app in question and click on “uninstall”.
Factory default
The only downside is that we have blocked a system app, such as AppGallery. In this case we will not be able to uninstall it, so the only option in this case would be to reset the device to factory settings . It is an extreme method that will erase any stored key or password, as well as installed third-party apps. To do this we will have to go to Settings / Security / Reset to factory settings.
