Everything indicates that 2021 will be a year of very interesting launches. OPPO is among the companies with the most plans up its sleeve. The implementation of ColorOS 11 is expected in its terminals, the arrival of the first terminal with a camera under the screen or important improvements in the zoom capacity . It is precisely this last feature, the protagonist of one of the new mobiles that OPPO could be preparing.
The zoom battle is being fought mainly in the high-end range. Being able to capture with “detail” that which is far away to which it is impossible to reach with the eye, is becoming the star feature of many terminals. OPPO was one of the companies that previously made the leap with this technology, as it did with the OPPO Reno10x Zoom, with its 10x hybrid zoom, or the more recent Find X2 Pro.
More zoom than ever
Now, LetsGoDigital has had access to an OPPO patent, recently published in the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) in which an OPPO terminal with a pop-up disk-shaped front camera, and a powerful 15X hybrid zoom is discovered. This front camera has a different design than previously seen, as if it were a step further in the shark fin that the first Reno showed. This camera allows a full screen design and emerges automatically when the user wants to take a selfie or make a video call.
In addition, the terminal shows a triple rear camera and reference is made to a telephoto sensor, a wide angle and an ultra wide angle sensor. As we say, it refers to a 15X hybrid zoom, the most powerful seen so far on a smartphone, which will also be accompanied by a digital zoom to further expand the zoom range. However, there are no details on the total capacity of the digital zoom. The finishes of the terminal offer several options, in the style of the Find X2 Pro, which can be purchased in ceramic or synthetic leather finishes.
An interesting 2021
We still cannot know if this device is a real plan for OPPO or one of the classic patents that will remain in a drawer. Keep in mind that OPPO could have very advanced its camera technology under the screen . This type of sensor is expected to make its debut in the OPPO Find X3 of 2021. If so, emerging front cameras like the one we see in this patent could lose their meaning.
