Xiaomi continues with its launch roadmap. If we are clear about anything, it is that we are clear that communication must continue to flow at this time, and mobiles are the best tool. Today was the day chosen and so it has been, the new Redmi Note 9s, a terminal that returns with the label of the quality / price ratio and that seeks to fight Realme, that little girl in the shoe that has come out to Xiaomi since the end of last year.
Xiaomi has returned to do something to which we are accustomed, that is, to rename an Asian launch to adapt it to our market and its current portfolio. This is how the Redmi Note 9s was born, which draws on the technical and design heritage of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The Redmi family grows again with the Redmi Note 9s, which once again sports some very competent technical characteristics in relation to its price. Being clear that we are facing the Redmi Note 9 Pro, we can see a comparison with the Galaxy A71, one of its great rivals.

Screen with hole
The terminal sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with FullHD + resolution. We see that it has a hole in the screen to house its front sensor, something increasingly common in the mid-range, which has been called the Tiny Dot Display. The screen has a 91% ratio with respect to the body of the device. The body of the device is manufactured in a 20-step process, which has achieved a compact and robust appearance, with a curvature for better grip. In addition and for the first time, the series mounts a side fingerprint sensor, right on the power button.
A processor for gamers
Under the hood we find the Snapragon 720G, a chip intended for gamers that is accompanied by 4 or 6 GB of RAM and by 64 or 128 GB of internal memory, depending on the chosen technical variant. This processor has achieved an AnTuTu score of almost 260,000 points, beating some of its direct rivals in the mid-range.
Four cameras to meet
Xiaomi has put the focus back on the camera with this device. During his presentation we have seen a good number of examples of photos shot with his different sensors. The terminal sports a square module, with four sensors, among which the main one is 48 megapixels, a wide angle of 8 megapixels, a depth sensor of 2 megapixels and a macro sensor of 5 megapixels. The latter allows you to shoot objects with a minimum distance to achieve great quality in detail.
A huge battery
We are facing a terminal that will boast a long battery life. The autonomy is given by the good energy management of its processor, since the terminal has 5,000 mAh, which also has a fast charge of 18W. As for its connections, it is not lacking in the main ones, including the 3.5mm-mm headphone jack. Of course it comes with MIUI 11 based on Android 10, something we expect from any mid-range 2020.
Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s will begin its global sale on April 7. We must still know the official data from Xiaomi, but the company has indicated that the prices in dollars for the two variants will be $ 249 for the 4 + 64GB version and $ 279 for the more powerful variant with 6 + 128 GB . It will be available in green, white and gray colors. We will update this news as soon as we have the prices and the date of sale.
